After the first edition great success ROMA – The Road to Contemporary Art, is back to the capital from April 2nd through 5th 2009.
The successful formula of the past edition is confirmed; the amazing contrast of contemporary masterpieces located in the magnificence of the historical places confers to the works a fascination which cannot not be achieved anywhere else; an innovative formula which has played a strong suggestion on gallery directors, artists, collectors, journalists and enthusiasts who – during the last edition – admired contemporary art in a completely new atmosphere.
On the next April the most prestigious National and International Galleries will discover once again the pleasure of conceiving a new way of exhibiting Art in unforgettable locations from majestic archeological sites to frescoed halls and refined residences. International Artists are already coming to visit Rome to experiment the powerful suggestions of the eternal city and to prepare special site-specific projects. Collectors coming from all over the world, will be invited and hosted during the Fair’s days and will have the chance to participate to a rich Cultural Program.
The Fair will show a considerable group of International galleries which are active in the contemporary art panorama. A new section named STARGATE will be dedicated to the younger galleries which exclusively work with emerging artists and which carry on innovative and experimental cultural programs on new art languages.
Other suggestive, prestigious locations will be added to the one used in the first edition, in order to host specific curatorship projects, new sections for video, works on paper, photography, installations, etc..
